Welcome to our first newsletter of 2021. As we continue to live and work in challenging times, I would like to thank you for your support throughout 2020. I'm really proud of everything we collectively achieved during 2020 - working together to maintain and modernise our roads and traffic infrastructure and improve safety for millions of road users. We achieved a great deal and I look forward to working with you all in 2021. Together we can continue to make a real difference to our industry and society.
As
we continue to operate in uncertain times, please be assured that we will continue to provide the support you require to keep your critical transport and traffic management infrastructure operational. As most of you will know, we have adjusted our working practices to ensure the safety of our employees and reduce any risk to you and members of the public through exposure to the virus. We adapt our working methods as the situation evolves and at present, all employees who can work from home are doing so, with only key manufacturing support and operational staff performing duties at their usual place of work or on-street, unless unsafe to do so. Please do not hesitate to speak to your Siemens Mobility Limited contacts if you have any specific questions.
I
hope you and your families remain safe and well, and on behalf of the entire team, we look forward to meeting with you in person again in the not too distant future.

First TASCAR SafeZone systems installed
Our SafeZone system is at the heart of two projects that we have delivered with WJ Group, our companies working in partnership to provide temporary automatic speed camera at road works (TASCAR) systems.
The partnership brings together WJ's contracting experience, resources and reputation for exceptional service delivery with our intelligent highway infrastructure solutions. With advanced image control and dual layer optical character recognition capabilities, our Sicore II ANPR cameras are perfectly suited to TASCAR enforcement solutions, delivering HOTA approved, industry-leading image quality and number plate read accuracy.
Both
of these recent installations are on the Highways England's strategic network, with the first for Avon and Somerset Police, at Junction 23 of the M5 in Somerset and the second, for Hampshire Police, on the A27 in Hampshire. As well as supplying the scheme infrastructure, we also supported WJ with the installation work, site validations and baselining.

Pedestrian crossing installed at local school
In October, we were contacted by The Sheiling School in Ringwood, Dorset to ask if we could help build a pedestrian crossing on the school campus. The project was designed to help the school's special educational needs students become more confident in crossing the road safely at a pedestrian crossing. We were delighted to help. This was a great project to be a part of and some of the team members were honoured to attend the official opening of the crossing and meet the school's staff and pupils.

Achieving the HERS Gold Standard
We are delighted to have achieved the Highway Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS) Gold Standard, one of only 11 companies to have achieved this level and the only ITS company to do so.
All organisations operating within the highway electrical sector must be registered to HERS, with the Gold Standard awarded to those companies that consistently meet high standards of quality and safety.
